High Quality Alnico Ring Speaker Magnets China supplier

Alnico Ring Magnet for loudspeakers were used in some of the earlier permanent magnet drivers. They tended to be longer in axial length to allow for higher performance and reducing demagnetizing effects (as they have lower coercivity, Hc, than other magnet materials). But with good design, alnico magnets can provide magnetic fields in the air gap which perform as well as those of NdFeB (albeit with greater axial length). The original permanent speaker magnets were made of alnico, an alloy of aluminum, nickel, iron and cobalt. Alnico is tougher and less prone to cracking than other magnet materials, though they can lose their magnetism more readily. More expensive than ferrite or neodymium, alnico gives speakers a warm, classic tone.

Magnetic Feature

1. Good chemistry stability and strong anti-corrosion

2. Excellent stability and magnetic performance

3. Various shapes and size

4. High working temperature

5. Strong magnetic force

6. High intrinsic coercive force

Manufacturing processes

Two different manufacturing processes are used; magnets are either Cast or Sintered, and a wide variety of shapes and sizes are readily available.

A Sintered AlNiCo magnet is structurally stronger than Cast AlNiCo and generally provides parts with closer tolerances prior to machining. Cast and sintered alnico magnets also provide extremely good temperature coefficients resulting in the smallest variation in magnetic output with temperature variation which may be advantageous to acoustic purists.

Available Grades of Alnico Magnets

Bearheart Magnetics offers both cast and sintered Alnico Magnets in a variety of grades, including Alnico 2, Alnico 5, Alnico 5-7, and Alnico 8.  Our large selection of available Alnico magnetic alloys helps achieve the best balance of cost, magnetic performance, and operational temperature resistance for your specific application. Sintered Alnicos offer slightly lower magnetic properties but better mechanical characteristics than cast Alnicos. Cast Alnico5 is the most commonly used of all the cast Alnicos. This material is used extensively in rotating machinery, meters, instruments, sensing devices, and holding applications.

FAQ:

Q1. What are Alnico speaker magnets?
A1. Alnico speaker magnets are magnets used in the voice coil of a speaker driver to generate the magnetic field that produces sound.

Q2. What are the benefits of using Alnico speaker magnets?
A2. Alnico speaker magnets are known for their strong magnetic field, excellent temperature stability, and durability. They can generate a high-quality, responsive sound due to their ability to change their magnetic field quickly.

Q3. What are the drawbacks of using Alnico speaker magnets?
A3. Alnico speaker magnets are typically more expensive than other types of speaker magnets. They are also relatively heavy and can be easily demagnetized if exposed to external magnetic fields.

Q4. How do you demagnetize an Alnico magnet?
A4. Alnico magnets can be demagnetized by exposing them to high temperatures or external magnetic fields.

Q5. Are Alnico magnets expensive?
A5. Alnico magnets are more expensive than other types of magnets such as ceramic and neodymium magnets, but they are also stronger and more durable. The cost depends on the size and strength of the magnet.
